Personal Pronoun

What is a personal pronoun? We use them to substitute nouns that occupy the place of the subject in the sentence. For example, when we have mentioned somebody or something earlier, there is no need to use the noun again. You can use a pronoun instead. Example: I like Tim. He is such an honest man.
In this case, "he" is a substitute for "Tim" so there is no unnecessary repetition.

Singular
I
you
he / she / it

Plural
we
you
they

"I" is always a capital letter.

The Verb "Be"

It is also important to know which form of the verb "be" we use after them:

Singular
I am
you are
he is / she is / it is

Plural
we are
you are
they are

You can also contract these the following way:

Singular
I'm
you're
he's / she's / it's

Plural
we're
you're
they're

Negation

If you'd like to negate a pronoun with the verb "be", you have to do it the following way:

Singular
I am not
you are not
he is not / she is not / it is not

Plural
we are not
you are not
they are not

You can also contract these the following way:

Singular
I'm not (there is only this form)
you're not or you aren't
he's not or he isn't / she's not or she isn't / it's not or it isn't

Plural
we're not or we aren't
you're not you aren't
they're not they aren't

Examples:
It's really warm in here. Could you open the window?
My sister is tall so she's a great basketball player.
Jane is out at the moment. Would you like to leave a message?

he /hiː/ or /hi/
she /ʃiː/ or /ʃi/
it /ɪt/
